Jayden Daniels is the starting quarterback for the Washington Commanders. He suffered a gruesome-looking injury to his non-throwing, left arm/elbow in the fourth quarter of the game against the Seattle Seahawks on November 3, 2025, while being sacked. Initial reports stated the injury was a dislocated elbow, with an MRI scheduled to determine the full extent of the damage.
Interest spiked immediately following the game because the injury looked severe on camera, requiring an air cast on his arm and causing him to be helped off the field. The injury to the team's franchise quarterback, especially in a game already lost, led to intense searching for updates on his condition and the projected recovery time.
Initial relief was expressed because X-rays came back negative for a fracture. However, the injury generated significant debate and criticism directed at Commanders Head Coach Dan Quinn for leaving Daniels in the game in the fourth quarter when the loss was virtually inevitable, unnecessarily exposing him to such a severe injury.
