Quinnen Williams is an All-Pro defensive tackle who was traded from the New York Jets to the Dallas Cowboys on November 4, 2025. He was the No. 3 overall pick in the 2019 draft and is one of the NFL's premier interior defensive linemen, having signed a four-year, $96 million contract extension in 2023.
The interest spiked dramatically around the November 4, 2025, NFL trade deadline when the Jets, as part of a major fire sale following a disappointing season, traded Williams to the Cowboys. The Cowboys acquired Williams for a package that included a 2026 second-round pick, a 2027 first-round pick, and defensive tackle Mazi Smith.
The trade was widely seen as a necessary move by the Cowboys to address their struggling defense, particularly their poor run-defense ranking. Williams’ addition was viewed as a massive boost to their unit. For the Jets, the move was a complete franchise reset, giving them a struggling former first-rounder in Mazi Smith and future draft capital for a rebuild.
