Costco recalls are official actions taken by the retail giant, or its suppliers, to remove products from the market due to safety concerns. Recent recalls in November 2025 involved several food and beverage items due to foreign material contamination (metal and plastic), and biological hazards (Listeria). The affected products were sold across various Costco warehouses in the U.S.
The search spike was triggered by multiple high-profile product recalls announced in November 2025. These included the recall of over 2 million pounds of Golden Island pork jerky due to metal fragments, Caesar Salad and Chicken Sandwich products due to plastic fragments in the dressing, and Moonlight Yellow Peaches over potential Listeria contamination. The recalls created an urgent need for customers to check their products and safety information.
Consumer sentiment is primarily one of safety concern and disappointment, especially regarding the widely sold prepared foods. Customers are focusing on following advisories to stop consuming the products and return them for a full refund. The repeated recalls have also sparked broader public discussions about food safety protocols and supply chain vulnerabilities at major retailers.
